Codes returns to Audius this week, presenting his latest tech house banger, “Beats Up.” This untraditional tech house track dropped via his very own imprint, Holy Molé Music. While “Beats Up” embodies the danceable energy that helps characterize tech house, Codes implements other elements that help this track stand apart from the oversaturated genre. “Beats Up” contrasts techno-esque lasers with a bassline rhythm atypical for most genres of house; instead, he re-imagines a jersey club-inspired bassline for a tech house track. Codes mixes in delectable, pulsing synths and a touch of badassery, and transforms “Beats Up” into a refreshing take on tech house.

Staying within the house genre, Dombresky also unveiled a romantic dancefloor tune, “IRLY (I Really Love You).” A passionate vocal sample reassures their muse of their love, sung in a rich timbre. Dombresky puts this track through another rose-tinted filter with the subtle addition of amorous synths, gently humming in harmony with the vocal melody. “IRLY (I Really Love You)” contains an element of disco, which Dombresky achieved by pairing the modern house bassline with the plucks of a bass guitar riff. Yes, romance and dance collide in “IRLY (I Really Love You),” perfect for getting mesmerized with your partner and dancing the night away together.

FUXWITHIT Records shared the label’s most recent release, “Calentura” from 15-year old trap production prodigy MXSY. Based out of Dublin, MXSY displays a staggering level of sound design prowess with this heater. “Calentura” artfully compiles characteristics from all the different evolutions of trap over the last handful of years. A swaggering 808 carries a dark melody, each component carefully composed. “Calentura” is rife with gritty samples that quaver sharply. MXSY contrasts this with splashes of psychedelic bass samples. Without a doubt, this young talent demands attention with this newest track.

KUMO Collective presents “So High,” a euphoric and upbeat collab between Pala Chrome and Dabow, featuring longing lyrics from imissyou. A premiere on the FUXWITHIT blog, “So High” is the third single off of Pala Chrome’s debut EP. While Dabow is renowned for heavy-hitting trap beats, Pala Chrome’s pastel production perfectly softens Dabow’s style. “So High” shimmers like golden sunlight illuminating a meadow of blossoming flowers, and it leaves listeners contentedly awaiting the full EP.

After spotlighting their track “Earthbound,” Audius once again highlights camoufly in recognition of their explosive new EP, In Plain Sight. In these three other songs on the EP, camoufly bathes listeners in their technicolor soundscape. Alexander Lewis joins in for “Kaleidoscope (Me&U)” a track that shines joyously under neon pink and rich purple dance floor lights. “Baby” emulates blossoming blooms with metallic yellow and pink petals that glimmer in the sunlight. Finally, “Always” entrances us with its futuristic, lush composition, getting us addicted to that one special person and camoufly’s music.
