From day one, our mission has been to empower musicians and creators with a platform that truly values their work. Now, as we step into a new era of Audius, we're reinforcing that commitment.
Airdrop 2: Artist Appreciation is our way of giving a special thank-you to the incredible artists who have made Audius what it is today. This is the second major airdrop in the history of the platform, following 2020’s Airdrop 1: Genesis.
It marks a pivotal moment for us, in how we want to emphasize rewarding and uplifting creators in our ecosystem going forward.
On Wednesday, February 12, at 9AM PT 2 million AUDIO tokens will be distributed to 1,174 artists who have contributed to the Audius ecosystem, which artists will then be able to claim.
Artists chosen in the airdrop will receive a minimum of 500 AUDIO and a maximum of 27,906 AUDIO, based on the scope of their engagement and impact on the Audius platform.
Eligible artists span a diverse range of backgrounds and styles. This includes big names in the industry such as Skrillex, deadmau5, Disclosure, Zedd, Dillon Francis, Diplo, and more. In addition to artists, respected labels who have been active in our community are also eligible such as bitbird, Coop Records, College Music, Headroom Records, and Anjunadeep.
This airdrop will be global highlighting artists from around the world, with a combined total of 163,772,877 streams.
This is an exciting moment for us to connect and acknowledge our community, but it’s far from the last. With Season 1 of AUDIO rewards kicking off, we’re ushering in a new era of Audius—one where artists are rewarded for their work consistently and transparently.
By earning this exclusive badge, recipients gain special privileges in the Audius ecosystem, with even more benefits coming soon.
A new reward type will launch every week for the rest of the quarter, kicking off what we’re calling Season 1 of AUDIO rewards with more exciting opportunities, campaigns, and airdrops are on the way.
