Summertime Beats: Unlike Pluto, frooot, Just A Gent & more! Hot & New 8/12

Summer is a time of abundance; laughter, adventures, and even delicious fresh fruit fill the time in these hot months. So many of these moments are enhanced by music as artists drop tracks in droves for concert and festival season! This week, Audius reaped a multitude of freshly ripened beats from our musical garden to share with our listeners on our Hot & New playlist!

Audius introduces our latest remix contest! We teamed up with the noble NoCopyrightSounds (NCS) to showcase the vibrant, emotional sounds of Unlike Pluto. This contest challenges producers across the world to re-invent Unlike Pluto’s heavy-hitting single, “Time Is Eating.” Not only that, but the partners and prizes are pretty massive: winners will receive Pulsar Audio and Plugin Boutique plugins, a Loopcloud artist plan, and bundles from Excite Audio as well as Soundtoys! All this on top of cash rewards and NCS merch! The remix contest runs until August 19th, so be sure to check the song description for details and submit your track soon.

DJ and producer frooot oozes sensuality in her new single, “DISFRUTA.” Latin beats in the percussion create a hip-swinging rhythm that underlines manipulated vocals and overlay a dynamic bassline. Meanwhile, a gentle piano adds a romantic feeling to the club-ready “DISFRUTA.” In a callback to mariachi music, a trumpet melody punctuates this deep house beat, weaving together with the carefully composed elements throughout “DISFRUTA.” This track enables dancing with ease while still capturing delectable emotions - such is froot’s production expertise!

Just A Gent also presents his latest take on four-on-the-floor beats with the exciting unveiling of “Everything Will Be OK.” Coming from his upcoming body of work, The Answer Is, this incredibly textural track is intended to ground listeners if they’re spiraling or concerned by things out of their control; it’s a sonic reminder that “Everything Will Be Okay.” Plucky, twinkling synths define the melody, and angelic chords wash away worries. Both stimulating and calming, this fresh Just A Gent track leaves us relaxed, the only anxiety coming from anticipation for his next release!

Multihyphenate artist and entrepreneur Alex Park (known as ajussi one for their music releases and south central korean jesus on our platform) recently uploaded a delightful bounty of beats! Their production abilities span different soundscapes, from the soft to the silly to the sinister. Lovers of instrumentals and trap beats will thank themselves for indulging in ajussi one’s discography. While one can’t go wrong, we’d recommend starting with “dolphine babies chillin hard!”

Music lovers across electronic genres will all find a flavor they enjoy in Luhv’s imagination, so we invite everyone to dive into the ECLIPSED EP!
