December begins and everyone is reminded of the impending holidays and New Year’s Eve celebrations. Audius eases all of your stresses by readily providing your weekly soundtrack with another new update of our Hot & New playlist.

Out of the gate, Fiji Macintosh teams up with trap heavyweight Trippie Redd on “FENTANYL.” Marking his return to Audius, Fiji Macintosh also drops the banger to tease his upcoming album, Unisex. The artist demands attention by standing strong alongside Trippie Redd, and this collision created a track perfect for kicking back or cruising with friends. With a steady beat in tandem with an impressive collaboration, fans are left curious about what else Fiji Macintosh has in store for Unisex.

Trap royalty RL Grime unveils his track with legendary trio NERO, “Renegade.” Together, they present a celestial experience with iridescent and twinkling synthesizers backed by incredible sonic impact. “Renegade” showcases intense blasts of technicolor sound that rocket listeners through galaxies. Meanwhile, gentle synth riffs give pause to the interstellar wonders glowing in the distance.

Bronx-based rapper Marco Plus debuts on Audius with “Dawg (feat. Kenny Mason)” as part of The Soufside Villain LP. The melancholic beat emulates empty city streets, walking alone on dimly lit sidewalks on a misty evening. Marco Plus taps into his darker side, rapping about mental illness struggles and seemingly endless apathy. “Dawg (feat. Kenny Mason)” sets high expectations for the rest of Marco Plus’ debut EP, The Soufside Villain.

Stan Smith” is a massive drum and bass hit from producer Alcemist and MC Coco. Originally released on the London-based record label, DnB Allstars, “Stan Smith” makes its way over to Audius for a trans-Atlantic moment. Immediately, this track hit thousands of listeners with a rush of energy and transported them to the drum and bass stage, speakers shaking and bass rumbling.

House music group Autograf returns to Audius with their tropical house bop, “Sorry, Not Sorry.” Autograf captures sunshine and a carefree attitude in this track, inspiring imagery of white sand beaches and light glinting off the ocean. “Sorry, Not Sorry” is an easy, breezy beach tune as fluid as the waves themselves.

While time seems to be flying around us, this week’s Hot & New playlist presents a collection of songs that invite the listener to slow down for a moment. Plug in, sit down, and take a breather by connecting with a new tune.
