The Coachella buzz continues flying through the air after two weekends chock full of amazing music from a wide spectrum of genres. Wanting to recreate the magic for our listeners, Audius embraced genre variety when picking out this week’s latest uploads for our Hot & New playlist!
A local celebrity here on Audius, Broken Blythe drops their latest tune, “Meteor Colony.” Keeping to its astronomical name, “Meteor Colony” envelopes listeners in star-studded space. Celestial synths twinkle in and out of existence like comets flying through the atmosphere, meanwhile low frequencies underline the melody and represent the intergalactic unknown. Broken Blythe sonically captures the awe people feel when looking up at the night sky, or gazing at galaxies through a telescope. “Meteor Colony” is a fresh track from Broken Blythe that exemplifies their ability to produce immersive and atmospheric sonic illusions.

Destructo teams up with hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg on party anthem on “You Only Die Once.” This tech house tune opens up with a low, growling frequency and a mischievous synth riff. Then, Snoop Dogg enters, and his smooth verse grants the track this title. Meanwhile, Destructo composes a build-up with gritty synths, and “You Only Die Once” drops into a bouncy, bass-inspired house rhythm. Different bass frequencies growl and wail while maintaining the cool simplicity that characterizes tech house. Without a doubt, “You Only Die One” will become a festival favorite this season!

Caly Bevier presents her first upload to the platform, “Let’s Do That Aga!n.” A nonchalant, steady instrumental underlines Caly Bevier’s voice - a rich soprano that shines over the minimal beat. Although her music swings to pop, Caly Bevier is no stranger to EDM; her discography boasts collaborations with massive electronic producers including Said the Sky and Adventure Club. “Let’s Do That Aga!n” subtly crosses her pop background with her flavor for EDM, as the second verse holds hints of wubs underneath her throaty voice. Caly Bevier breathes new life into this single by debuting it on Audius!

Black Hole Recordings unveils their latest release, “A Higher Love” by Fonzerelli. The Dutch record label was founded by Tiësto in 1997; although the world-renowned producer left in 2009, Black Hole Recordings never stopped putting out globally loved trance, house, and other dance music records. “A Higher Love,” a celestial trance tune by UK producer Fonzerella, fits right in with the artist’s past releases on the record label. Hypnotic and romantic, “A Higher Love” will certainly have trance fans falling in love at the mainstage.

For their second release on Audius, Kentucky rapper E The Profit drops “Pull Up.” E The Profit raps in a seamless flow, his deep voice vaguely growling and whispering in other instances. His haunting voice matches the dark instrumental that highlights “Pull Up.” Harkening to moods in dark trap rap, reminiscent of $uicideboy$, E The Profit once again impresses his Audius listeners with this latest upload.
