October is in full swing and people are diving into fall activities, finally enjoying lower temperatures. Audius knows that October comes with plenty of Halloween parties and bonfires, so we compiled another week of hot and hype tracks on this week’s Hot & New playlist update!

Matt OX celebrates the release of his latest album, TEENRAGE. Once again, this prodigal rapper impresses listeners with his immense talent and energetic flow. TEENRAGE fuses the angst and invincibility of youth with distorted 808s. Basslines and hi-hats rattle throughout the album, and Matt OX’s vocals weave in and out of the production, almost becoming a part of the instrumentation. All throughout TEENRAGE, Matt OX channels the mischievous determination found when a tight group of friends find themselves in an endless series of good times and laughing sessions.

Dallas-based riddim/trench producer Finnuh drops their explosive new track, “Aimin At Your Skull.” This beat opens up with haunting synths and vocals overlaying steady bass punches. Following a maddening build-up, Finnuh rips open the mosh pit with their destructive, industrial trench. Metallic samples clash with shooting lasers, filling listeners with an insatiable need to headbang. All the while, the whomping bass stomps the track forward. “Aimin At Your Skull” will undoubtedly eviscerate speakers at upcoming fall and winter riddim shows.

In a gentler lane, Joe Turner makes his Audius debut with the latest house tune, “Take Me Higher.” After taking an almost year-long break from releasing music, Joe resurfaces with a twinkling track in “Take Me Higher.” A bouncing bassline carries these angelic, celestial elements to the dancefloor, meanwhile, manipulated, calming feminine vocals further wrap club-goers in Joe Turner’s imagination. “Take Me Higher” reflects his journey over the last year - finding beauty and hope through a darkened mindset.

Attican reimagines “Timelapse,” originally a trance track by two heavyweights in the genre, Jerome Isma-Ae and Alastor. Attican takes this mesmerizing track and transforms it into a celestial deep-house track. Glittering synths glow like luscious galaxies, and Attican paints vibrant nebulas that curl against the endless black of space. This remix of “Timelapse” launches listeners into a nebulous environment, inspiring beautiful imagery on the dancefloor.
