Serbian producer DJU DJU resurfaced on Audius this past week, wielding an impressive arsenal of new tunes for the platform. His laidback lofi beat, “That’s a fact!” made a significant splash with Audius listeners. DJU DU uses electronic-tuned samples of classic instruments to create this tune; trickling piano patterns decorate the beat in addition to flashes of violin chords. Meanwhile, a steady bassline drives “That’s a fact!” along, adding a drop of swing in the rhythm. Easygoing but euphoric, this song is perfect for any summer sunset gathering!

One of Audius’ favorite underground producers returns with a sexy new club tune; indeed, Five Foot Short unveiled their flip of “On My Mama” by Victoria Monét, and it is delightfully danceable. A funky bass guitar line carries the track and immediately gets feet moving on the dancefloor. Beautifully balanced horns compliment Victoria Monét’s dulcet tones, and staccato clackers add just a touch of samba to Five Foot Short’s flip. Celestial synths blink in and out. Without a doubt, this flip of “On My Mama” will give the club a romantic air that inspires everyone to let a little loose.

Multihyphenate musician Alé Araya returns to Audius, this time presenting her gently psychedelic EP, in visions. Pulling inspiration from mycelium electronica and organic earth, Alé Araya weaves her angelic voice together with the foundation of several different genres of music for this EP. From this lovely body of work, “Citrine” shone particularly bright to Audius listeners. Silvery elements curl together with golden undertones, producing a luxurious and pop-y tune. Another Audius favorite, camoufly, steps back into the spotlight with their remix of Frank Ocean’s Chanel. Specifically, camoufly designated this track as the ‘Steps Foot In A UK Rave Once’ remix. While this may seems silly, this remix is seriously good. Highlighted by singing synths, camoufly pulls on several characteristics from different subgenres of UK garage. Twinkling but dark, this remix of “Chanel” captures camoufly’s effervescent production and truly transports the song to a UK rave; other aspects of the song are very legato and sustained, recreating that classic echo of an undergrorund warehouse party. With his thoughtful skills and expert abilities, we’d like to thank camoufly for taking us with them to the rave.

Transitioning into the sunlight, Ellzo brightens any day with their feel-good house bop, “Jesus Christ! (darling).” Whimsical synths and vocal samples define this tune in addition to the warmth of the tones. Layering these undeniably good vibes over a house rhythm creates a timeless track reminiscent of Kaytranada’s delectable style. Ellzo will undoubtedly turn any day into a good with their sunshine production, and “Jesus Christ! (darling)” is yet another ray of light in their discography.
