The cooling weather has us reminiscing about festival season, or even attending early autumn events to keep us dancing. Audius boasts everything from underground UKG and intense trance on this week’s Hot & New playlist update to satiate any thirst for electronic music.
Hardwell’s imprint Revealed Recordings teams up with Audius to host a remix contest for MR.BLACK’s latest release on the label, “Tranceformation.” Artists are invited to reimagine the groovy, bass-driven trance track with their own unique spin. There are hundreds of dollars worth of cash prizes to be won in addition to Revealed Recordings merch. Not only that but the 1st place winner will also receive one free year to iZotope’s Production Suite Pro. Winners will be chosen on Wednesday, September 27th; visit the Audius and Revealed Recordings Discord servers for more information!

Jamie Brown, the explosive new project from dubstep producer Deadlyft, presents his latest Audius and SoundCloud exclusive release, “cant touch this.” This persona is a distinct departure from the muscular dubstep from Deadlift, as Jamie Brown crafts delicate grooves. His latest track, “cant touch this,” flows smooth like butter, with a driving bassline complimenting the sub-bass riff cooling the club down with its carefree attitude.

Italian producer msft returns to Audius with their hot twist on UK garage in “Break It.” msft took a minimal approach to UKG with this beat, using highly staccato drum patterns and samples. Only a bouncing bass frequency has significant reverb or length for most of the song, and this accentuates the meticulous production of a song that appears simple on the surface. “Break It” influences an entire club to dance with its elasticity.

Wuki and Cloverdale team up to juke out listeners with their “Wars Pigs” mash-up. Opening up as an unsuspecting tech house track, this beat takes a metal turn with the teasing riffs of an electric guitar. Then, a cavernous break rips through the track before the iconic two notes of “War Pigs” shock listeners out of their daze. Ozzy’s unforgettable first stanza builds the track to drop into a minimal tech house tune. Wuki and Cloverdale in this clever, almost silly, mash-up of “War Pigs” will certainly please both house and metal heads alike.

DJ_Dave, the producer who creates music through coding, returns to Audius with their latest offering, the Intercell EP. Five silvery songs come together in this stunning, shimmering tapestry. DJ_Dave invites listeners into their kaleidoscopic imagination, showing off their vivid soundscapes. Intercell twinkles bright against a night sky, and DJ_Dave once again impresses audiences with their calculated approach to music production.
